This eight-hour course will provide students with specific information regarding targeted cyber attacks, including advanced persistent threats, and will place them in a better position to plan and prepare for, respond to, and recover from targeted cyber attacks. This threat-specific, community-driven training will focus on each phase of targeted cyber attacks and the attacker methods used. Participants will also receive valuable information on cyber attack prevention, mitigation, and response.

Target audience: Emergency responders, emergency/risk management personnel, critical infrastructure representatives (public/private sector), planners, information security and cybersecurity personnel and managers, and others responsible for identifying and responding to cyber incidents or developing organizational strategies.

Prerequisites (recommended but NOT required):
o AWR-136 – Essentials of Community Cybersecurity
o AWR-175W – Information Security for Everyone (online course)
o AWR-173W – Information Security Basics (online course)
